The emergency department at Physicians Regional Medical Center - Collier Boulevard has been designed to be more soothing to seniors, according to an article on the Naples Daily News website.

Features include dimmed lighting, a more comfortable bed, music and a larger call button. 

All 18 private rooms in the emergency department in the Collier Boulevard campus were upgraded.

The American College of Emergency Physicians came out with guidelines for geriatric nursing homes in 2013 after spending two years working with other industry leaders in geriatric care.
