Geisinger Health Center renovates food service to boost production

The 350-seat Atrium Cafe, located on the campus's Hospital for Advanced Medicine, replaced three operations

The Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa. has launched a  two-phase improvement project to improve its foodservice operation, according to an article on the Foodservice Equipment & Supplies website.

The 350-seat Atrium Café, located on the campus’s Hospital for Advanced Medicine, replaced three operations. The new cafe features stations for pizza, entrées, grill items, salads and sushi. The cafe also houses a convenience store.

The facility also upgraded its roomservice component and its production kitchen.

The new kitchen gives foodservice a more contiguous space and provides significantly more storage space and safer food storage and handling throughout the entire process, the article said.
