Standish, Michigan - Globe Fire Sprinkler Corporation recently announced Factory Mutual (FM) Approval for "The Inch" Series of 5.6K Dry Concealed Sprinklers.

Dry sprinklers provide a seal at the main pipe to prevent water from entering the sprinkler assembly, making them suitable for use in areas where sprinklers or the connecting pipe may be subject to freezing conditions.

"The Inch" Dry Concealed Sprinkler features an aesthetically pleasing flat plate, making it the ideal choice for flat, smooth ceiling installations in areas subject to freezing conditions. In its 'set' position, the flat profile cover plate remains flush with the finished ceiling, concealing the sprinkler above. In a fire condition, the cover plate falls away, allowing the sprinkler to drop into place and operate.

"The Inch" Dry Concealed Sprinkler features one full inch (25,4mm) of vertical adjustment, ensuring ease of installation and a snug, shadow-free fit to the finished ceiling.

Factory Mutual (FM) Approved Standard Response Dry Sprinklers are custom-made for each application, and can be made with A-Dimension lengths of 4-¼” to 36” (10,8cm to 91,4cm). This 1” NPT, 5.6K (28mm NPT, 80 metric K) sprinkler is FM Approved to protect Light and Ordinary Hazard applications with temperature ratings of 155°F and 200°F (68°C and 93°C).

Underwriters Laboratories (cULus) Listed Dry Concealed Sprinklers are available in 3mm Quick Response and 5mm Standard Response with A-Dimension lengths of 4-¼” to 48" (12.1cm - 121.9cm). “The Inch” Dry Concealed is cULus Listed for Light and Ordinary Hazard applications with a 1” NPT and 5.6K or 8.1K (28mm NPT, 80 or 116 metric K) with temperature ratings of 135°F, 155°F, 175°F, and 200°F (57°C, 68°C, 79°C, 93°C).

In addition to standard finishes of White and Chrome, “The Inch” cover plates can also be custom finished to match virtually any designer color. "The Inch” Dry Concealed Sprinklers are Factory Mutual (FM) approved and Underwriters Laboratories (cULus) Listed per the requirements of NFPA 13.
