Grafton City Hospital Joins Vandalia Health

The transition follows approval from the West Virginia Health Care Authority and continues a longstanding partnership between the organizations.

Community leaders, hospital officials and representatives from Vandalia Health gathered for a signing ceremony at Grafton City Hospital to officially mark the hospital’s transition into the Vandalia Health system as Vandalia Health Grafton Hospital.

The transition follows approval from the West Virginia Health Care Authority and continues a longstanding partnership between the organizations. Mon Health System, a member of Vandalia Health, has provided management services to the hospital since 2019.

The move expands access to resources, expertise and a collaborative network available through Vandalia Health while preserving the hospital’s commitment to local, community-based care.

Since Mon Health System began providing management services to Grafton City Hospital in 2019, the partnership has connected the hospital with additional clinical expertise and operational resources. It has supported expanded access to cardiology services as well as substance use treatment programming provided by Vandalia Health physicians, while creating greater opportunities for collaboration among providers across the region. The partnership has also helped advance the hospital’s continued investments in technology, programs and facilities that meet the healthcare needs of Taylor County and surrounding communities.
