Guidance details physical environment's impact on patient experience

ASHE and AHA’s new report is titled 'Improving the Patient Experience Through the Health Care Physical Environment'


New guidance from the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) and the American Hospital Association details the healthcare facility physical environment's impact on patient experience, according to an article on the Health Facilities Management website.

The new report is titled “Improving the Patient Experience Through the Health Care Physical Environment.”

Dale Woodin, senior executive director of ASHE, said the organization partnered with AHA to develop the report to show the various ways the physical environment ties into the patient experience. 

"We wanted to provide concrete tools to help healthcare leaders incorporate this research into practice.”
