Linen services provider offers tips to customers about handling potentially contaminated linens


A linen services provider has offered tips to its customers about handling potentialy contaminated linens, according to an article on the Becker's Infection Control & Clinical Quality Review website.

The guidance includes:

•  Bag any linen used by a patient being tested for Ebola

•  Store the bag in the patient's room

•  If the patient tests positive for Ebola, the linen should be treated as a Category A infectious substance

"Ebola presents special challenges for hospitals and caregivers related to the handling of linens," said David Van Vliet, president and CEO of Angelica.
