Environmental services department adopts 'Every patient is my patient' motto

Gundersen Health System's environmental services department was named 2016 Environmental Services Department of the Year in the 200–500 beds category by Health Facilities Management, according to an article on the magazine's website.

The department's efforts are guided by an "every patient is my patient" motto.

Gundersen continuously researches ways to improve its processes, always prioritizing patient health, safety and satisfaction.

“We make sure patients’ needs and wants are taken care of,” Mike Becker, an ES supervisor, said in the article. ES employees often help patients with wayfinding or locating the appropriate member of their care team to deal with a specific issue.
