The Executive and Continuing Professional Education department of the Harvard School of Public Health is offering a weeklong course on health and safety issues in laboratory design May 6-10 in Boston.
“Guidelines for Laboratory Design: Health and Safety Considerations” is an interactive course featuring guided tours of newly constructed or renovated laboratories, workshop sessions, and case studies designed to give participants insight from expertly built laboratories.
The course teaches a multidisciplinary, collaborative approach to design where architects, designers, facilities engineers, health and safety professionals, and laboratory users work together to understand the needs of all team members as well as the goals of the project.
Individuals involved in using, managing, maintaining, designing, or constructing new laboratories or renovating existing laboratory facilities are encouraged to attend, including:
