Citizen Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, Mo., is using IT to connect its system as it acquires new facilities, according to an article on the Health Facilities Management.
In 2002–2003, Citizen Memorial invested $6 million — roughly 12 percent of the organization's $50 million operating budget — on a health IT system.
The investment coincided with a plan to focus on the CMH brand and acquire clinics and other providers.
CMH is now using health IT as the underpinning to grow and drive care coordination across its market.
