Healthcare Compliance Target of CBRE Offering

Tools cover employee evaluation and assessment, training and certifications, and benchmarking, analytics and reporting

By Dan Hounsell, Senior Editor

CBRE recently launched Healthcare Shield, a suite of tailored processes, technology, training, and assessments designed to assist healthcare facilities in achieving the highest compliance standards in the industry. Healthcare Shield identifies and addresses quality and safety issues, achieving reduced downtime and enhancing patient experience and safety across managed facilities.

“During this time of significant challenges for the healthcare sector, we have sharpened our service delivery model and platform to help our healthcare clients reduce risk and unplanned downtime at the facilities we manage. We aim to give our clients great confidence in the reliability of their facilities so they can focus on their critical mission of saving and improving lives,” said John Poulos, CBRE’s national healthcare director.

Healthcare Shield consists of four major components:

  • employee evaluation and assessment tool
  • specialized training and certifications
  • CBRE Compliance and risk management program
  • benchmarking, analytics and reporting.

Healthcare environments must be managed differently than other commercial buildings or mission-critical facilities. Through Healthcare Shield, CBRE develops highly trained and motivated teams that deliver best-in-class service in support of healthcare clients’ facility operations in a complex regulatory environment. Healthcare Shield is already being used by CBRE facilities management clients. Healthcare Shield will initially be available in the United States, with a wider roll-out outside of the United States planned for 2022.
