High Tech Meets High Touch with “Blurred Lines” from Wilsonart

Great design goes beyond what we see. While each of our senses provides an important contribution to our experiences, the sense of touch is particularly important. As consumers yearn to experience beautiful objects beyond just seeing them on their flat touch-screens, Wilsonart introduces “Blurred Lines,” a new laminate collection that not only blurs the lines between warm and cool color tones, but also transforms the laminate with the company’s exclusive Soft Silk finish. It’s a finish that must literally be felt to be believed.

“Laminate finishes are no longer only about an authentic visual appearance, but an authentic feel as well,” noted Brooke Mays, Product Designer at Wilsonart. “Our Soft Silk ultra-matte finish is incredibly soft and smooth. It is one of the most authentic, true-to-stone finishes we have ever developed at Wilsonart.”

For the past several years, residential consumers have focused on the look of white marble countertops. Today, they are seeking fresh ways to approach white marble and patterns that work within their current spaces, regardless of what their design style is. “Blurred Lines” accomplishes that with looks that blend varying tones and encapsulate trends from both past and present.

Drama Marble and Praline Antico, in particular, mix warm browns and taupe tones that are often found in traditional design with cool greys and white found in contemporary and modern design. The patterns complement any cabinet, appliance or décor.

See how well all eight designs in the Blurred Lines collection work in multiple kitchens and baths in the Wilsonart Visualizer.

• Praline Antico | Textured Gloss Finish - a Brazilian Bianco Antico Granite, merging warm brown and caramel colors with cool white, greys and blacks. Praline Antico features both large and small-scale elements.

•Drama Marble | Soft Silk Finish - a striking large-scale white marble design with vivid grey, brown and bronze veining. This type of marble is mined in the Drama region of Northern Greece and is also known as Volakas or Ajax marble.

•Marmo Bianco | Soft Silk Finish - a white Torano marble design with varying sizes of grey veining and hints of warm taupe creating a chunky marble effect in shades of grey that display intricate depth and detail.

•Cote d’Azur | Soft Silk Finish - a large-scale white Cote d’Azur marble design with thick, cool fractures and thin warm veining.

•Benjamin Grey | Soft Silk Finish - a Jerusalem stone look that has soft, sophisticated movement and detail in a range of grey tones.

•Hebron White | Soft Silk Finish - a Jerusalem stone look that has soft, sophisticated movement and detail in a range of warm cream tones.

•Ribbon Marble | Soft Silk Finish - a delicate and feathery linear stone reminiscent of a Crystal Wood Vein marble in cool and white grey tones.
