Inspectors found numerous sanitation problems at two Lehigh Valley Health Network hospitals


Hospital cleaning staffs at two Pennsylvanis hospitals were retrained after the Health Department finds dirty restrooms, floors, walls, according to an article on The Morning Call website.

Responding to a complaint, inspectors found numerous sanitation problems, including dirty floors and restrooms and dusty monitors and blood pressure cuffs  at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg and Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Salisbury Township. 

The report indicated LVHN later corrected the issues and retrained staff on cleaning policies. Managers were to conduct random inspections of rooms and departments four times a week on each shift, for three months.

Signs in the hospitals ask patients, visitors and staff to report any concerns about cleanliness or other issues.
