Making sure Covenant Health Plainview is running smoothly is the job of the six-man maintenance crew, according to an article on the My Plainview website.
Not only are they the men behind the scenes, they’re the men in the elevator shafts, air ducts, boiler rooms, water lines and every nook and cranny of the Texas healthcare facility.
The crew recently installed emergency power capabilities into the hospital doctors’ lounge and in the cafeteria. The purpose was to ensure patient food stays fresh and emergency management personnel, who set up in the lounge, have access to power in case of a disaster.
Other significant projects for this initiative have included building vehicle barriers and storage units for oxygen tanks, updating electrical systems and wiring, fixing discovered shortcuts from the past, replacing 500-gallon water softening tanks, and even painting curbs, fire lanes and the parking lot.
