Hospitals in San Antonio implementing no-visitor policy amid Covid spike

Visitors allowed for critically ill, laboring, pediatric patients


Hospital systems in the San Antonio, Texas, area are tightening restrictions on visitors as Bexar County continues to record high rates of COVID-19, according to an article on the KSAT website.

Visitor access has been tightened with the exception of those deemed necessary to a patient’s care.

All visitors will be subjected to screenings for fever, respiratory symptoms and exposure to the virus.

Hospitals had initially implemented the restrictions at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic and had loosened the rules since then. They reintroduced no-visitor policies this week due to a surge in cases.
