Hubbell Lighting named technology brand of the year by Architectural SSL Magazine

By Healthcare Facilities Today

Greenville, SC – Hubbell Lighting, a world leader in lighting innovation, announced today that the company has been named Technology Brand of the Year by Architectural SSL Magazine and received four 2014 Product Innovation Awards (PIA) from the publication. Since 2011, Hubbell Lighting has won 110 industry awards for its new product innovations, including 33 Architectural SSL Magazine PIA.

“One of the issues that has held back the adoption of solid-state lighting has been one of cost. Beyond doing its part to bring down cost in manufacturing improvements, Hubbell Lighting, with a longstanding legacy of innovation, complemented by a streamlined product-to-market process, has stepped up big by frankly putting its money where its mouth is with the institution of its financing program. This past year the company rolled out its innovative “createchange” and Cash Flow Positive programs to help businesses cut electricity costs, enhance their quality of light and reduce the financial risk of lighting upgrades,” said Jim Crockett, Editor-in-Chief, Architectural SSL. “We are pleased to award the company this year’s Technology Brand of the Year citation.”

“Being named Technology Brand of the Year is a real testament of Hubbell Lighting’s ingenuity and know-how in developing truly innovative lighting solutions,” said Scott Muse, President of Hubbell Lighting. “On behalf of the dedicated and talented men and women at this company, who are behind our outstanding lighting technology innovations, I want to thank Architectural SSL Magazine for this coveted award.”

Architectural SSL Magazine’s PIA determine and honor the most innovative LED and solid-state luminaires and fixtures on the market. The awards also recognize leaders who are helping to make solid-state lighting a truly sustainable technology. The award winners represent a peer-recognized selection of quality products that the architectural and lighting design community can feel comfortable specifying.

The following Hubbell Industrial Lighting products received 2014 Architectural SSL Magazine PIA:

LunaBay – Light Industrial High Bay

Lightwatt LED – Light Industrial Low Bay

KSL – Severe Kemlux III Led
