Invicara Launches BIM Assure to unlock valuable building information

Invicara, provider of transformative solutions for building information modeling (BIM), today announced the release of BIM Assure, a collaborative, cloud solution that unlocks BIM data and helps the entire project team streamline BIM data management. BIM Assure’s intelligent rules help users to quickly identify and resolve issues to improve BIM quality and then sync the corrections back to the source model. In addition, because it is cloud-based and easy to use, BIM Assure provides a common BIM environment that lets architects, engineers, contractors, and owners (AECO) share models and manage data, creating new opportunities to streamline design and construction workflows and improve project delivery.“Design, construction and operations of buildings will be reshaped by the industrialization and automation of construction through the adoption of digital technologies and processes,” said Anand Mecheri, CEO and Founder of Invicara. “BIM Assure will help the industry leverage information in BIM models for data driven workflows in all phases of the projects development.”

BIM Assure provides validated, rich building information throughout the project lifecycle. Designers can use the product to provide better construction documentation, contractors can ensure models can support accurate model-based estimating and quantity takeoff (QTO), and owners can use BIM Assure to manage handover data throughout design and construction.

BIM Assure and Owner HandoverLeading owners and AEC firms plan to adopt BIM Assure to transform project handover. Today, most owner handover processes begin at the end of a project. By making handover a process managed throughout the project lifecycle with BIM Assure, owners, architects, engineers, and contractors can work together to define data requirements early and gather required data as the project evolves to avoid miscommunication and project delays. In addition, BIM Assure ensures that owners have the necessary BIM data at the end of the project to quickly implement building operations and management systems.

“BIM Assure provides a simple way to automate data checking that did not previously exist.  Up until now the process was tedious, difficult and time consuming,” stated Kris Lengieza, Director of VDC for Stiles Construction.  “BIM Assure allows us to check model data early and often.  It is going to streamline our path to successful handover.”

BIM Assure helps owners and project teams:
•   Get visibility into equipment data before occupancy to plan maintenance programs
•   Manage space requirements and prepare for occupancy
•   Support capital planning processes with accurate building information
•   Streamline project delivery with better coordination throughout the design and construction phases
•   Avoid costly RFIs, change orders, and rework with better quality information
•   Reduce costs by assuring use of approved building materials and components
About InvicaraInvicara’s mission is simple: Make BIM better. The company’s vision is to create products that enable richer, more accurate information and insights to drive efficiency in every step of design, construction, and operations. The result is a smarter building industry that is transparent with fewer mistakes and more savings. The company’s first product is BIM Assure, a collaborative, cloud solution that helps the entire project team streamline BIM data management.  For more information, visit www.invicara.com
