JLL professionals honored by the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE)

Last week the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) honored JLL’s Danielle Gathje, CHFM*, with a Regional Leader Award for ASHE’s Region Six, and gave its coveted Senior Member (SASHE) designation to Laurie Anseth, CHFM. Each year, ASHE awards Senior Member status to less than a dozen professionals nationwide and selects one professional per region for its Regional Leader Award.

“It is an honor to be recognized in multiple ways by ASHE, the premier association in the healthcare engineering industry,” said Peter Bulgarelli, Executive Managing Director and leader of JLL’s Healthcare group. “By honoring multiple JLL professionals, ASHE has underscored the depth of expertise we bring to our hospital system clients.”

Laurie Anseth was one of only seven ASHE members to receive the SASHE designation in 2017. The designation recognizes members who have helped advance the healthcare engineering profession through leadership, education and publishing. Anseth joined JLL in 2013 as Regional Director of Facilities for the JLL Adventist Health System. She previously held facilities management positions at Allina Health and was project manager at the Institute for Environmental Assessment. She also received the ASHE Region Six Regional Leader award in 2013.

ASHE also honored Danielle Gathje as the Region Six Regional Leader award recipient. Gathje is the Senior Facilities Manager for JLL’s work with St. John’s Hospital, HealthEast Care System, in Maplewood, Minnesota. She previously worked at United Hospital, part of Allina Health, starting as a safety manager, and was instrumental in implementing the hospital emergency management program. Gathje earned her CHFM in 2015 and became a facility manager for United Hospital.
