KleenMark Re-Awarded Highest Level of Certification in the Commercial Cleaning Industry Worldwide

KleenMark, Wisconsin’s commercial cleaner for over 60 years, is proud to announce they have been re-awarded their industry’s highest level of certification; the ISSA Cleaning Industry Management Standard (CIMS) and CIMS-Green Building (GB) certification with Honors.

In 2011, KleenMark became the first Wisconsin commercial cleaning company to receive this certification and is still the only cleaning company based in Madison (and one of a handful worldwide) to achieve the “with Honors” designation from the ISSA.

“From our front-line cleaners to our top-level management everything we do is designed to deliver the highest standards of clean and professionalism for our clients and their buildings,” says Ashley Matthys, Vice President of Human Resources, KleenMark. “So, we’re excited to see that our hiring, training, safety, chemical selections, and management practices are once again being recognized as world-class.”

To be re-certified, an independent, accredited assessor verified via extensive review and random site visits that KleenMark has systems in place to deliver consistent, professional services that meet customer needs and expectations in areas such as:

• Quality systems

• Service delivery

• Human resources

• Health, safety, and environmental stewardship

• Management commitment

• Green Building

Of note for our clients, CIMS-GB is now a direct compliance option to meet the green cleaning policy prerequisite of Version 4 of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) revised Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance (LEED EB: O&M) rating system.

“Recertification is more than a certificate. It shows we are continually working to improve our product, our process, and outcomes for the good of our customers, KleenMark employees, and the environment,” explains Susan Enlow, KleenMark Executive Vice President. “CIMS-GB certification makes me proud to work for a company that says ‘we care’ and backs it up!”
