LaMar Lighting introduces DS-LED dual sensor luminaire with optional emergency battery backup

Farmingdale, NY – LaMar Lighting Company introduces DS-LED, a dual sensor luminaire with an optional 90-minute emergency battery pack to its Occu-smart® line of bi-level lighting. Controlled by two highly sensitive external infrared motion sensors, DS-LED provides safe, dependable illumination while conserving energy.

Operating at 20% power and consuming as little as 5W in standby mode, DS-LED offers sufficient illumination for stairwells, corridors, conference and utility rooms and other areas where maximum light levels are not required on a constant basis. Upon occupancy, the fixture illuminates to full capacity consuming only 25W. The unit covers a 360-degree, 26-foot diameter range using two motion sensors, which can be adjusted in the field for optimum coverage, range and time delay using optional IR remote control.

The 48-inch-long direct lighting fixture has a modern, clean aesthetic and emits uniform, glare-free light through a white polycarbonate diffuser. The luminaire replaces one F32T8 lamp, providing 1911 lumens, at about 5000K with a CRI of 71. It uses 144 high-quality Nichia LEDs with a rated life of over 60,000 hours. Individual DS-LEDs can be surface-mounted to a wall or ceiling or suspended with chains or other devices.

DS-LED is DLC®-qualified and UL-listed and comes with a five-year warranty. Units equipped with an emergency battery backup are UL-listed as emergency and power equipment per UL924 and provide more than 85% of full light output for at least 90 minutes.
