Staff recently gathered in the parking lot of Winter Haven Women's Hospital in Winter Haven, Fla., to watch a sizable beehive removed from the property, according to an article on the ABC Action News website.
As the hive has grown in size, hospital staff have become concerned about safety.
There would have eventually been a risk of the hive becoming too heavy for the tree and falling onto the parking lot.
If it gets to the point where there are 20,000 bees on the pavement, there could be safety issues, an expert said.
