MD-Series Modular LED High Bay Lights

By Healthcare Facilities Today

Earth City, MO – Super Bright LEDs, a global leader in LED technology, introduces the MD-Series Modular LED High Bay Fixtures, which feature a combination of individual 30W or 50W LED modules in a modern, functional housing. These new LED fixtures bring an exceptional combination of energy efficiency, outstanding light output, long life, and better color rendering for lighting a wide range of industrial environments.

Designed to replace 50W-1500W HID fixtures, the light-weight MD-Series has a unique, hinged housing that provides easy access to the individual LED modules and driver while the fixture is installed. The module's utilize extremely efficient CREE XT-E LED's that produce 100 lumens per watt, with 120° optics for wider area illumination over traditional cone reflected units. Individual LED modules also provide fail-safe redundancy to increase safety while reducing risk in dark areas. Where traditional HIDs require considerable warm-up time before usable light is present, the MD-Series LEDs come on instantly at power-up, with no warm-up time or flickering. The modules have a patented, advanced thermal management design resulting in much lower operating temperatures than competing high output LED lighting products. This greatly extends LED and driver operating life, while reducing facility cooling cost. The fixture are rated for working in high ambient temperature environments of -30°C to 60°C, as well as damp locations.

Greg Henderson, founder and CEO of Super Bright LEDs, Inc, states “The key breakthrough here is the advanced modular design, and hinged housing. This allows the MD-Series to be field serviced, or upgraded without removing the fixture. As LED performance continues to improve, fixture performance can be upgraded by replacing the individual modules or driver. Also, not having to regularly replace bulbs and ballast greatly reduces maintenance cost, which extends the benefit to our customers beyond significant energy savings.

The MD-Series comes with a 5 year warranty; is available with a variety of mounting options; with color temperatures ranging from 2500K to 5500K for crisp, white light; IP65 rated for damp locations, UL listed, and DLC accredited.

Since 2002, Super Bright LEDs has been committed to providing their customers with outstanding service and quality products in LED lighting. They work to continuously develop new products and extend existing lines.
