Maine healthcare facility switches to in-house security

The decision was made after an assessment of the physical environment


Cary Medical Center in Caribou, Maine, recently transitioned from contracting with a private security firm to its own in-house security department, according to an article on the Campus Safety  website.

The newly formed department is made up of six security officers and a force manager.

The decision was made after an assessment of the physical environment and its effects on workplace hazards.

Staff training and policy development are also planned.
