Marshfield Medical Center-River Region at Stevens Point has opened, marking a continuation of Marshfield Clinic Health System’s promise to expand care to Portage County, Wisconsin residents.
The 12-bed hospital is an expansion of the existing Marshfield Clinic Stevens Point Center. The first floor features emergency services with eight treatment rooms, a trauma room, 12 hospital inpatient beds, a dining area and lobby. The second floor houses the surgical suite with operating and procedural rooms, surgical waiting area, administrative offices and a conference room.
This location has continued to grow since opening in 2013. In 2017, the cancer center was built to provide oncology/hematology and radiation oncology services, as well as provide access to dozens of cancer-related clinical trials and services. In 2019, urgent care services was added to provide immediate healthcare.
