Intermountain Foundation announced that Nevada’s first stand-alone children’s hospital will be named Intermountain Health Felicia and Ben Horowitz Children’s Hospital in honor of a historic $150 million commitment.
Felicia Horowitz, president of the Horowitz Family Foundation and co-founder and president of The Paid in Full Foundation, and her husband, Ben Horowitz, co-founder and general partner of venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), have long invested in people and ideas with the potential to create lasting change.
The $150 million commitment is dedicated to building a new future for children and families in Nevada.
As Intermountain Health strengthens children’s health, investments in one community can contribute to a larger culture of learning and innovation. The expertise recruited, programs developed, research advanced, and lessons learned can strengthen an increasingly connected approach to children’s health across the region and nation.
Intermountain Health Felicia and Ben Horowitz Children’s Hospital is expected to open in 2030 at the UNLV Harry Reid Research and Technology Park in southwest Las Vegas.
