MaxLite LED Recessed Downlight Retrofits receive ENERGY STAR rating

WEST CALDWELL, N.J. – MaxLite®, a leading global manufacturer and marketer of innovative LED products, announces the addition of its 4” LED Recessed Downlight Retrofits to the ENERGY STAR® list of qualified lighting products.

“Our Energy Star rated LED Recessed Downlight Retrofits reinforce MaxLite’s commitment to supplying energy efficient, attractive, lighting fixtures,” said MaxLite’s Vice President of Product Marketing and Engineering Pat Treadway. “These Recessed Downlight Retrofits meet the industry’s twin gold standards, California’s Title 24 Certification and Energy Star’s stringent requirements for superior energy efficiency, performance and quality.”

The 4-inch, nine-watt LED Downlight Retrofit is the ideal replacement for 50-watt incandescent lamps in the industry's most popular four-inch recessed downlight fixtures. The durable, die-cast aluminum fixture is designed with pressure clips and an Edison-base adapter that can be used with most four-inch recessed housings on the market, including IC airtight housings.

The LED Downlight Retrofit has been engineered with a performance leading LED module and features high-efficacy LEDs and an optical diffuser that produces high lumen transmission and even illumination. The self-contained module and trim installs flush to the ceiling. Uniquely, as a four-inch downlight, it uses a 120- to 277-volt driver, which is fully dimmable down to 10 percent (at 120-volts); the fixtures reduce energy consumption throughout the long 50,000-hour life in dry, damp or wet locations, including kitchens and showers.
