MaxLite introduces high-performance LED Residential Downlight Retrofits

WEST CALDWELL, N.J.  – Building on its growing line of value-engineered recessed downlight solutions, MaxLite introduces LED Residential Downlight Retrofits for recessed cans with a nominal six inch diameter that delivers an impressive 90 color rendering index (CRI).  The downlight retrofits are listed on the CEC Title 24 product list, ENERGY STAR qualified and meet the voluntary California Quality LED Lamp Specification.

“MaxLite developed its LED Residential Downlight Retrofit utilizing the best LED emitters available in the marketplace. We are able to offer a 90-plus CRI version without losing any efficacy compared to lower CRI model,” said MaxLite’s Product Marketing Manager Ken Charton. “These retrofits produce high quality light at a sensible price point.”

The downlight retrofits can be purchased with rebates of up to $60 through utility rebate programs nationwide.

The LED retrofits are available in 12- and 19-watt models that capture the warmth and ambiance of 75- and 120-watt incandescent fixtures, respectively, and deliver up to 1,200 lumens. The retrofits are dimmable down to 10 percent for additional energy savings.

The easy-to-install retrofits come standard with torsion springs and an Edison-base adaptor for easy conversion within existing recessed ceiling cans in dry or damp locations in multi-family housing units, apartment complexes and single-family homes. An optional GU24 socket adapter is also supplied with the retrofit.

A high impact-resistant diffuser delivers significant lumen transmission and uniform aperture luminance while concealing the LED light source. The thermally protected driver and die-cast aluminum heat sink help sustain cool operation and long lumen life. A white open trim maintains a sleek ceiling appearance. The retrofits are supplied with an integral 120-volt power supply.
