Medical Association of Georgia and KaMMCO Health Solutions Partner to empower Georgia Physicians with actionable analytic reports

Physicians and other healthcare professionals across the country are exploring innovative approaches to connect, analyze and transform healthcare. The Medical Association of Georgia (MAG) and KaMMCO Health Solutions (KHS) announced today a pioneering partnership in support of MAG’s mission to enhance patient care and provide actionable intelligence to physicians through the use of analytics.

As the leading voice of physicians in Georgia, MAG represents over 7,800 members to include physicians in every specialty and practice setting. A MAG physician-led advisory board will soon be formed to work with KHS in establishing a private health information exchange to allow connected physicians to share real-time patient information while employing powerful analytic reports designed to help improve clinical outcomes, reduce inefficiencies, and positively impact patient safety. A formal launch of the new MAG-sponsored entity is anticipated late summer 2016.

“We see this new endeavor as a win-win for the physicians and patients of Georgia. While using connectivity to improve patient point-of care encounters, this partnership will empower Georgia physicians as they transition to the new models of healthcare delivery, quality reporting, and performance-based payments,” stated MAG President John S. Harvey, M.D. “It is a truly dynamic, groundbreaking healthcare solution.”

MAG Executive Director and CEO Donald J. Palmisano Jr. emphasized, “This is going to be a physician-led organization whose mission and values are fully aligned with MAG’s. This unique partnership with KHS presents us with an opportunity to provide physicians in Georgia with a benefit unlike any other in the state when it comes to data analysis relevant to both patient care and future payment models. ”

Regarding the new partnership, Kurt Scott, KHS President and CEO believes, “MAG has a strong sense of the pulse of their membership and their priorities. We are honored to partner with MAG to provide relevant solutions to the healthcare community of Georgia.”
