The Oktibbeha County Hospital take several precautions to make sure all surfaces are clean as part of the facility's infection control efforts, according to an article on the WCBI website. 

Kennedy Neal the Director of Environmental Service Department at the Starkville, Miss., facility said they do special cleanings once a month to get into those areas that need very deep cleaning.

The custodial staff is made up of 34 people and the hospital takes precautions to help keep them safe.

“They have to make sure that they have on their gowns, their goggles and their shoes. They wear shoe covers as well as their gloves to make sure that they are following the rules and making sure that they are safe that they don’t carry anything home with them to their families,” Neal said.
