Mobile visitor management systems can improve efficiency

Mobile functionality allows security managers to register new visitors and connect with a central location from anywhere

A mobile visitor management system can improve efficiency and allow a healthcare facility security manager to register new visitors and connect with a central location from anywhere, according to an article on the Campus Security website.

Manual visitor enrollment systems are being replaced by automated and integrated visitor management systems.

These systems help protect employees, assets and buildings by confirming a visitor’s identity, compiling relevant information about their visit and allowing real-time integration with access control and other security-related systems, the article said.

The addition of mobile functionality to visitor management systems is getting increasing attention.
