Morrison has 10-year agreement with Mayo Clinic

Four unions are involved in the transition

Food service company Morrison Healthcare will have a 10-year agreement with the Mayo Clinic, according to an "Answer Man" article on the Post-Bulletin website.

The clinic is working on the transition with the unions that represent affected employees. Mayo works with four unions, under six contracts, for food service. About 700 employees in southern Minnesota are affected.

The four unions involved are:

• SEIU Healthcare Minnesota: Saint Marys Hospital, Rochester Methodist Hospital and Mayo Clinic Health System-Albert Lea.

• Teamsters: Fairmont

• American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees: Mankato

• United Steelworkers: Austin

The contract talks between Mayo and the unions regarding the food service issue were triggered by the announcement by Mayo to transition food services to Morrison from Sodexo.
