St. Joseph’s Healthcare System has scrapped plans to build a hotel and conference center tower in Paterson, N.J., according to an article on the N.J. Biz website.
The venture was called too risky. Instead, the hospital will focus on information technology and its role in healthcare delivery.
The project initially included two towers, one was a hotel and banquet center and the second will be a space for a New York Medical College Regional Branch Campus.
Plans for the hotel tower, according to the health care system’s website, called for a 175,000-square-foot building, slated to be the second tallest in Paterson.
