Retired police senior investigator James Bambino puts safety first as security manager at Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel, N.Y., according to an article on the Putnam Daily Voice website.
As the hospital’s manager of security, Bambino is responsible for the safety of visitors, patients, and staff.
He also trains staff on what to do in a major emergency, such as if there is an active shooter in the hospital.
“Everyone has to be more observant,” he said. “It’s true that when you see something, say something. If you feel that someone doesn’t belong, or that they’re someone suspicious, there’s nothing wrong with calling security."
