N.Y.'s Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown is building a new cancer facility, according to an article on the Healthcare Construction + Operations website.
The Walker Center for Cancer Care was designed to promote a sense of community, centering itself on a large living room.
The design theme is based around the word “hope,” the article said.
The new facility features natural light and a calm, healing environment. The living room includes a fireplace seating area, education area, Internet cafe, boutique and community conference space.
