NFMT event to include seminar on data center cooling strategies

The 2018 National Facilities Management & Technology event offers three full days of education, speakers, networking with peers, and a giant expo hall. All for free.

This year's National Facilities Management & Technology (NFMT) event will include a seminar on data center cooling strategies.

The cost to cool data center space is a key issue that must be addressed during design and systems selection because modern data centers are evaluated not just on reliability, but also on the efficiency of the cooling plant that supports them. Finding cooling strategies that are cost effective while still maintaining the overall reliability of the mechanical and electrical systems is a common challenge for engineers charged with developing data center cooling strategies.

1. Understand the importance of energy efficiency in data center cooling
2. Review the features and benefits of air-side economizer
3. List the features and benefits of water-side economizer
4. Learn the importance of understanding the importance of developing a total cost of ownership analysis for various system options

The session, scheduled for March 21 at 4:10 p.m. (EST), will be given by consultant, Stephen Spinazzola, PE, LEED AP.

The event will be held in Baltimore on March 20-22, 2018.

Check out the NFMT website for more information.
