Nashville General weighing future facility options

Hospital scouting existing buildings, raw land options


The leaders of Nashville General Hospital have begun weighing options for a potential move from their home, when e a lease with Meharry Medical College expires in 2024, according to an article on the Nashville Post website.

The facility wants to negotiate capital improvements as part of a lease extension or will look elsewhere , according to hospital officials.

The hospital's latest business plan says the Nashville General Hospital Foundation has initiated informal reviews of existing health care facilities and alternative raw land options.

The age and design of the building do not offer the “optimum environment” for current or future best practices, according to an informal review.
