University of Nebraska Medical Center and Nebraska Medicine's Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center in Omaha will add to its healing arts program with Leslie’s Healing Garden, an outdoor healing garden, according to an article on the Medical Construction & Design website.
The healing garden will serve as a place to escape the realities of cancer and spend time outside enjoying the flowers, pine trees and heated walkways.
The healing arts program includes motivating and meaningful works of art to help heal the human spirit.
The program could feature more than 200 pieces of original works of art that would reflect a diversity of cultures and perspectives.
