New Champion medical chair provides flexible comfort for acute care and other therapies

The new Comfort-4 ECO from Champion Manufacturing is an advanced, fully-powered healthcare chair with vertical height adjustment that adds a new dimension to Champion’s extensive lineup of leading medical recliners.

The Comfort-4 ECO is an extremely flexible chair for a wide range of patient therapies. It is especially helpful for both patient and provider in acuity care situations. Its power lift vertically adjusts the chair for easy and safe patient access in the lowered position, while allowing the physician and medical staff to facilitate their care by adjusting the height. The Comfort-4 ECO provides a single platform for examination, diagnosis, treatment and observation — delivering care in the most cost-effective manner while enhancing patient comfort.

The Comfort-4 ECO features a “one-touch” handset with multiple independent adjustment controls to customize its comfort for the patient’s benefit and assist with staff needs. Adjustment points include the backrest, seat tilt, leg rest, and vertical height. Soft and contoured armrests for infusion therapies tilt up for patient access and can be easily adjusted in height and length for greater patient comfort. It provides a fully-powered Trendelenburg position, which can be activated by the handset or by a standard emergency foot switch located on either side of the chair.

Other features include a wide base for greater stability, resting on four-inch, twin-wheel casters with a central locking system. For the staff, there are handles on both sides for ease of chair movement and easily detachable single-tone comfort pads to make cleaning very efficient.

“As a chair that literally ‘does it all,’ this is one of the top values in our medical seating portfolio,” said Doug Keeslar, president of Champion. “It has been engineered and manufactured with the same reliable quality and ease of maintenance as our other medical chairs, and is fully supported by Champion Manufacturing’s customer care team. For its functions and value, we are anticipating a lot of interest in this product.”
