New Investigator Research Award applications are now being accepted

The New Investigator Research Award is designed to encourage more up-and-coming researchers to turn their attention to studying how the built environment impacts outcomes in healthcare. Created and funded by The Center for Health Design's Research Coalition, submitted proposals should examine the relationship between environmental design and healthcare outcomes in any healthcare setting, including hospitals, ambulatory care, behavioral health settings, senior living facilities and home based models of care.

Submissions Due: September 14, 2015

Award Recipient(s) Announced: November 17, 2015

Who Can Enter:  The award is open to Ph.D. students and other recent research degree recipients whose early contributions reflect their potential to create, promote, and disseminate research that supports therapeutic, safe, efficient, and effective healthcare settings.

Award Presentation: The Center for Health Design will present one award of $10,000 to a researcher in the early phases of their career. Additionally, the award recipient will receive free registration to attend the Healthcare Design Conference 2016 where they will have the opportunity to present their completed study; travel expense will also be covered by CHD.
