New TEC3000 Series thermostat controllers from Johnson Controls reduce installation time and offer rapid-speed commissioning

Johnson Controls introduces new TEC3000 Series thermostat controllers. These direct hardware replacements for TEC2000 Series thermostats reduce installation time by loading all configuration files and parameters at once, using a USB stick. The thermostats also offer rapid-speed commissioning by using the USB stick to commission multiple TEC3000s of the same model.

The new TEC3000 thermostats support both N2 and BACnet MS/TP protocols, resulting in fewer models to select from and order and giving contractors the ability to modernize systems without changing out hardware. Contractors will also appreciate these features:

Multiple fan configurations that provide single-, multi- and variable-speed fan control

Onboard occupancy sensor that provides energy savings in high-energy usage commercial buildings without additional installation time or cost

Integral humidity sensor that monitors space humidity and activates dehumidification control on two-pipe fan coil units with reheat and four-pipe fan coil units with or without reheat

End users will find value in energy savings via the integrated occupancy sensor and real-time control of the environment with an easy-to-use 4.2-inch backlit LED touchscreen. In addition, a four-digit password prevents tampering with the thermostat controller settings in public spaces and helps ensure setpoint energy policies are enforced.
