New Titus Alpha controller family integrates universally

By Healthcare Facilities Today

DALLAS – Titus HVAC, the leader in air management, introduces the new Alpha controller family that integrates universally with all BACnet building management systems (BMS) regardless of manufacturer. The Alpha controller reduces common failures seen with typical “add-on” style designs of multiple connected components and are designed and manufactured in collaboration with KMC Controls, a standout in BACnet building automation.

Designed as a one-piece solution, the reliable Alpha features the advantages of an integrated controller, sensor, actuator and communication. It can be used in standalone and network applications, saves time and money during the installation by being pre-configured at the factory, and has the ability to be commissioned through the thermostat, eliminating software at the jobsite. Since the Alpha controller is stocked at the Titus factories, it eliminates the complication of coordinating controls and is available for quick ship requirements.

“With BACnet protocol emerging as the leading worldwide standard for building management systems, we wanted to provide customers with the confidence of having a universal and reliable choice,” said Steve Attri, terminal unit manager at Titus HVAC.

The new Alpha controls family includes the single duct cooling only; single duct with heat and fan powered application; as well as dual duct mixing and non-mixing. It is available with three sensor options: dial sensor, digital display and digital with occupancy sensor.
