A new Teen Health Van has been unveiled to treat underserved teenagers from San Francisco to San Jose in partnership with Stanford Children’s Health and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford, according to an article on the Medical Design & Construction website.
The van is the latest in a national network fleet of mobile medical units developed by Children’s Health Fund.
Each van exam room will be equipped with flat-screen monitors and tablets loaded with interactive technology and health education resources.
Patients will be able to draw on the tablet to explain to their provider symptoms which they may not otherwise be able to describe.
