North Carolina Children announced a $25 million gift from North Carolina-based Coca-Cola Consolidated, the nation’s largest Coca-Cola bottler.

This gift, to be given from Coca-Cola Consolidated’s charitable giving funds, will allow NC Children’s to advance its vision of transforming mental health care for children and families across the state. The investment will support the creation of a welcoming, family-centered facility as well as programs designed to provide comprehensive care addressing medical needs and the emotional, psychological and social well-being of children and their families.

NC Children’s was established in 2025 as a partnership between UNC Health and Duke Health to create North Carolina’s first comprehensive freestanding children’s hospital.

The $25 million gift from Coca-Cola Consolidated is the first gift toward the long-term goal of raising more than $1 billion for the new NC Children’s campus in Apex, NC, which will include an approximately 570-bed children’s hospital with more than 100 behavioral health beds and an outpatient center.
