ONVIF to speak at China’s Chengdu Public Safety and Security Exhibition

ONVIF®, the leading global standardization initiative for IP-based physical security products, announced today that it will speak at China’s Chengdu International Community Public Safety and Security Products and Technology Exhibition (CCPSE), to be held April 13-15, at the Century City New International Convention and Exhibition Center in Chengdu, China. ONVIF is also a sponsor of the Chengdu event, which is estimated to draw more than 50,000 attendees and 400 exhibitors.

ONVIF spokesperson Tim Shen of Dahua Technology will be speaking on “ONVIF: An Evolving Standard” on April 13, 2017. The presentation will focus on the benefits provided by ONVIF in security systems with multiple brands, Internet of Things (IoT) applications and in smart city municipal security systems. The presentation will also include an overview of the history of ONVIF, its evolution as an organization and current and upcoming profiles, as well as opportunities for involvement with ONVIF standardization activities.

“The ONVIF value proposition of interoperability between IP-based physical security products is a strong one that benefits all segments of the global security industry,” said Per Björkdahl, ONVIF Steering Committee Chair. “As China’s market share in physical security continues to grow, it is critical for ONVIF to advocate and impress the vital role that ONVIF and other standards can play in the physical security community.”

Tim Shen is the Marketing Director at Dahua Technology USA, where he manages marketing strategies and inside sales, overseeing marketing communication, channel marketing, graphic design, and content creation.

ONVIF also is a sponsor of CCPSE, which is the largest security exhibition in the southwest region of China. The event is hosted by: the Chengdu Municipal Public Security Bureau, Sichuan Municipal Public Security Bureau and the Chengdu Municipal Economic and Information Technology Commission.
