According to the study, jet-air dryers can blow bacteria upwards - possibly in the users face.

Warm-air dryers circulates fewer germs, but can leave people wiping their hands on their pants.

Finally, while paper towels are not environmentally friendly, they spread 27 times fewer microbes than a jet-air dryer.
