Overhead Door Launches New RapidFlex Model 990 Flexible Bottom High Speed Fabric Interior Door

Overhead Door, one of the leading manufacturers of doors and openers for residential, commercial, industrial and transportation applications, has introduced RapidFlex Model 990 to its line of flexible bottom high-speed doors. Ideal for high traffic areas, such as manufacturing, pharmaceutical, warehouse and distribution facilities, the new RapidFlex Model 990 features a flexible, breakaway bottom bar that minimizes damage in case of accidental collisions, a detachable bottom seal for easy replacement and troubleshooting, and patent-pending curtain lock that enables doors to be repaired quickly on site, unlike traditional zippered doors.

“We introduced this new model to the RapidFlex line to increase safety while simultaneously minimizing downtime for repairs when accidents may happen. Similar to all other RapidFlex models, the new Model 990 delivers high performance and opening speeds of four seconds or less,” said Feon Tjong, High Speed Door Product Manager of Overhead Door.

The detachable bottom seal is available exclusively on RapidFlex Model 990. The curtain lock is available only on RapidFlex Models 990 and 991.

The interior fabric doors available up to 12’ x 12’ are made up of two lightweight layers of PVC-coated polyester with one layer of polyester weave, and are available in four standard color options – red, blue, white and gray. Optional 20” high windows are available to allow visual access and light.

All of the RapidFlex High Speed fabric doors feature breakaway and self-reset, two sets of infrared obstruction detection, wireless reversing safety edges and Overhead Door’s five-year door system warranty. Additionally, the RapidFlex line has been independently tested for operational wind load to withstand three pounds of force per square inch or 58 mile per hour winds, making it ideal for facilities seeking to separate environmentally controlled spaces and to prevent cross contamination.
