A Rutgers-led team has invented an inexpensive, effective way to kill bacteria and sanitize surfaces with devices made of paper, according to an article on the Infection Control Today website.
 
Metallized paper can sanitize surfaces with 10 seconds of treatment. 
 
Paper-based sanitizers may be suitable for clothing that sterilizes itself and devices that sanitize laboratory equipment.
