Iowa county cites rising COVID cases and staffing shortages for limited services.

Polk County, Iowa, hospitals are operating at limited capacity. The demand for patient beds exceeds the number that is available. The medical centers are struggling with COVID-19 cases rising, summer traumas, caring for sick and individuals and staffing shortages.
The medical center is urging those who are sick to visit either their primary care provider or urgent care. In the case of a life-threatening emergency, individuals should still go to the emergency room or call 911.
