New survey data has reported that Ohio nursing homes are not as prepared as they should be for natural disasters and emergencies, according to an article on the Long-term Living website. Ohio’s Miami University's study found 90 percent of plans addressed the risks of power loss, facility fire and tornadoes, but few had plans for flooding or impassible roads.
