Prosser Memorial Health will open their new $125 million, 88,000-square-foot hospital February 1, 2025, with expanded healthcare services and facilities. In the past five years, PMH has seen patient demand grow by 20 percent annually across its service areas, with much of this growth coming from Yakima Valley.

PMH operates clinics in Grandview, Prosser, and Benton City, extending healthcare access to residents who would otherwise travel far for specialized care. PMH’s clinics offer primary and specialty care services, including dermatology, cardiology, joint replacement, orthopedics, general surgery, gastroenterology, behavioral health, women’s health and emergency care. Rising demand for these services has made them critical resources for residents, especially given the region’s shortage of healthcare providers.

The new PMH hospital will include twenty-five private patient rooms, four of which are designated for intensive care, as well as a significantly expanded emergency department with fourteen rooms, including two trauma rooms. Other enhancements include an expanded wound and infusion center and a cardio rehabilitation program.

PMH’s surgical facilities will be enhanced with five new operating suites equipped with advanced technology and imaging capabilities. These upgrades will offer expanded, state-of-the-art spaces that improve both patient experience and operational efficiency.

Another first for PMH is a full-service cafeteria, which will offer convenient dining options for patients, visitors and staff.
