Providence St. Joseph Health launches telehealth in more than 100 facilities

Telehealth network that will offer more than 50 specialty services


Providence St. Joseph Health is launching a telehealth network that will offer more than 50 specialty services at more than 100 locations across the West Coast, according to an article on the Fierce Healthcare website.

The Washington-based health system's recently announced a new Virtual Health System that features more than 1,500 dedicated clinicians.

The new network aims to solve access issues for rural communities, reduce emergency department overcrowding and provide stroke patients with necessary care in a timely manner, the article.

Forty-one percent of industry leaders say telehealth will see rapid growth over the next year, according to a survey by Venrock.
